Job Purpose:
The Career Centre Officer is accountable for the management of the campus career centre including business development, workshop management, staff management, and graduate placements by setting and monitoring the achievement of targets.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Management of the Campus Career Centre
Develop the campus career centre plan based on the Organisational Career Services plan
Contribute in setting graduate placement targets.
Monitor graduate placement targets
Implement career readiness workshops and monitor effectiveness
Contribute in the planning and execute 1st year Orientation and Annual Graduation
Ensure that Career Centre administration is up to date including reporting
Implement and monitor compliance to relevant policies and procedures
Manage and oversee the look and Feel of the Career Centre
Market services of department to existing and new clients (prospective employers)
Identify new target markets and penetrate them effectively to get more specs
Obtain job descriptions for potential roles at identified clients for graduate applications
Conduct client visits-face to face or virtually.
Monitor access of 1st year Students and Exiting students on the Student Career Development portal
Manage, monitor and report on the statistics of students accessing the portal
Manage and monitor all documentation that is required during the coaching process
Schedule and roll-out of career readiness workshops to students and graduates
Source and invite industry speakers for coaching sessions
Manage the capturing of all coached graduates into the database
Monitor and update the graduate placement worksheet
Monitor the placement process of prospective roles identified with potential clients
Support graduates during the placement process
Follow up with employer at the end of graduate’s first day of work
Follow up with employer after two to four weeks after employment
Deliver presentation pack to prospective employers who have placed our graduates
Identify and collect placement success stories
Update live reporting system of graduate placements
Plan and execute Campus Career Days, Entrepreneurship workshops and Career Expos
Arrange guest speakers and manage logistics regarding these events and workshops.
Arrange with the marketing team for gifts, banners etc.
Profile all entrepreneurs and compile a database for all graduates who attended the entrepreneurship workshop
Campus Visibility
Manage that success stories and events hosted by Career Services are posted on the visibility boards
Monitor and manage that part time jobs and any info related to employability are posted on the visibility boards
Enhance the visibility of Career Centre Services on Campus & the Career Centre office is equipped with information for students
Enhance the student Support and Career Services visibility on Campus
Manage the advertisement of career services activities on campus
Monitor involvement of the team in all campus activities
- Compile reports and submit to the National Career Services Manager, Campus Head & National Career Operations Officer.
Drive a high-performance culture by taking accountability for an effective and well-articulated performance management process
Conduct performance reviews in accordance with policies and procedures and take corrective actions where necessary
Providing strategic guidance in the implementation of human resources policies, procedures and practices
Lead the department by managing appointments, promotions, and industrial relations issues in conjunction with the Human Resources Support Service Unit
Build a robust, effective leadership pipeline, succession and capacity
Educational Requirements:
- Relevant 3-year Diploma or Degree in Sales, Marketing, Human Resources or Related Qualification
Work Experience:
- 3 years experience in Career Services Management

Classes are scheduled from 08h00am until 17h00pm, Monday to Friday.
Salary:
Market related.
