The Programme Manager is accountable for managing the quality and implementation of teaching and learning for the faculty through managing and monitoring of policy implementation, lecturer development, operational activities and budget management.

Position Description
Academic Leadership
- Provide leadership in academic activities such as workshops, forums, and meetings
- Conduct Lecturer Peer Reviews as identified by Programme Coordinators through observation and moderation
- Analyse and interpret Lecturer Peer Review findings with a view to updating Faculty development plan
- Design, develop and implement orientation and development plans with Lecturers for monitoring and review annually
- Conduct workshops and consultations with lecturers to develop and implement orientation and development plans with Lecturers
- Encourage the promotion of research by example and engage in own research and development to support skills Monitoring and reviewing these a year after implementation
- Student ratings of lecturers (SET)
- Number of research activities in process or completed
Teaching-Learning Support
- Manage and monitor the implementation of academic policy, quality Teaching-Learning
- Liaise with Student Support and Operations Department to ensure overall student success
- Conduct lecturer observations, assess gaps and define programmes and initiatives accordingly
- Provide the required resources and teaching methodologies to lecturers in order to perform optimally
- Develop, analyse and interpret all Faculty-related action plans, moderation plans and reports
- Monitor lecturer development and provide feedback to lecturers
- Analyse results to ensure that programmes are results-driven
- Deliver lectures (maximum 5 hours per week) if required based on module-specific requirements
- Classroom visit feedback
- Module results are at required pass rate
Faculty Operational Management
- Manage all programme operational activities such as the timely release of marks, recruitment support and all related staff administration
- Oversee recruitment support and all related staff administration
- Ensure that the campus is adequately staffed and participate in interview panels
- Establish and manage overall administrative and timetabling systems and controls
- Manage deadline submission by lecturers for the release of marks by the Academic Operations team
- Honour Faculty operations in support of Teaching-Learning, module, and student-centric timetabling
- Attend Programme Coordination Committee meetings and IIE forums
- Compile and track budgets per semester for each qualification, and modules per qualification
- Deadlines are adhered to
- Budget is not exceeded
- Effective planning to ensure that lectures scheduled are conducted
