The Assessments Coordinator coordinates all the graduation and certification processes and provides support to all administrators, ensuring accuracy and compliance with institutional policies, regulatory requirements and delivery of excellent student services.

Job Purpose:

The Assessments Coordinator coordinates all the graduation and certification processes and provides support to all administrators, ensuring accuracy and compliance with institutional policies, regulatory requirements and delivery of excellent student services.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Assessment Exception Coordination

  • Accurate and timely processing of deferred assessment
  • Support students in phased-out modules to complete assessments before discontinuation based on the discontinuation letters
  • Accurate and timely processing of Applications to write in different locations
  • Accurate and timely processing of Deans exam applications based on Policy requirements
  • Assists and train the relevant teams on the assessment processes as required.
  • Participate in grad systems and process training as organised by AIT.

Assessment Data Integrity Validation

  • Validate assessment-related data across all systems (SIS,PAS) to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with policy requirements.
  • Verify supporting documentation submitted for assessment queries such as remark requests, deferred, Dean’s Exam, Discontinuation applications for eligibility to ensure authenticity, validity, and compliance.

Minimum Requirements: 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Administration, Management, or a related field.

Experience

  • Academic administration experience in the division of the Registrar or Governance (corporate, education or legal sector) within a higher education environment. (3 Years)

Key Competencies

  • Ability to manage time effectively.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Customer service orientated.
  • Ability to effectively cope with change.
  • Deadline-orientated and can work well under pressure.
  • Be able to work in a team environment. 
  • Effective communication skills
